Typical Projects
Community Partners tailors each project to the needs of the specific nonprofit client. While we try not to limit the type of assistance we offer, most projects fall into one or more basic categories, with the understanding that one project may lead to another. These categories can generally be described as:

(a) Consulting
Such a project typically has four to eight alumni volunteers working with the executive director and other staff members of the nonprofit organization.  Each volunteer would devote about ten hours a month to the project.

(b) Brainstorming
This is usually an initial two to three hour brainstorming session with the nonprofit.  One or more follow up meetings may result, and even a traditional consulting project later.  Volunteers commit just for the initial brainstorming sessions.

(c) Coaching
This employs one or two alumni volunteers interested in helping the executive director or senior staff work through some short term issue of longer strategic issue.
