Community Partners 2009-2010 Annual Report
Volunteer in 2010-2011!
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to all of the HBS alumni/ae who so generously volunteered, giving their time and talents to assist our New York City metropolitan area nonprofit clients and here is our 2009-2010 Annual Report which has a list of all 2009-2010 volunteers as well as helped nonprofits. We successfully completed and/or launched 24 projects, involved 108 volunteers who volunteered approximately 8,000 hours. Worth over $2 million in consulting services!
During 2009-2010, Community Partners organized into the following Interest groups: Arts and Culture, Education, Environment and Sustainability and Social Services in order to facilitate alumni involvement in projects which reflect their areas of interest as well as to develop a sustainable recognizable presence in the respective nonprofit communities.
We hope that you will consider joining Community Partners and become a member of one of our Interest Groups. Members of each Interest Group will be given priority to participate in projects. In addition, each Interest Group will provide volunteers with information on programs and events that focus on issues facing nonprofits in that area. Ultimately, we hope to build a strong community of members that will share their knowledge, interest and insight in their respective areas.
To register as a volunteer, please sign up here. Once you join, we will begin to share information with you. To facilitate the Interest Group communities, we have created Facebook and LinkedIn groups (you may have to register if you do not already have an account). Thank you for your interest and we look forward to your participation!
If you have any questions, please contact our Program Manager Priya Vin. In addition there is further information on our website.
