OceanX explores the oceans of the world by sailing its state-of-the-art vessel, OceanXplorer. Through media, science, and philanthropy partners, OceanX utilizes next-gen technology, leading-edge science, compelling storytelling, and immersive experiences to educate, inspire, and connect the world with the oceans to build a global community dedicated to understanding and protecting them – to bring them back to the world. OceanX collaborates with Oscar-winning filmmaker James Cameron to create extraordinary documentaries to increase public awareness of the oceans worldwide. OceanX is an initiative of Dalio Philanthropies.

Analyze elements of the ocean exploration landscape that are not being adequately studied and where OceanX could add unique value in research and media generation. Identify how OceanX could further its mission of educating the public and other entities. Provide recommendations for expanded use of data the organization has accumulated.

The objective of the project is to:

• Suggest priorities for OceanX focus
