The English-Speaking Union’s English in Action (EIA) program serves immigrants, foreign professionals, and others in the New York City area with a highly successful English language and acculturation program that helps immigrants master conversational English and attain cultural fluency via one-on-one sessions with EIA volunteers.

Project: Grow the English in Action program beyond New York City

The English-Speaking Union wants to expand its successful program beyond New York City by documenting the successful content, organizational and procedural aspects of the program, including volunteer training, in a ‘playbook’ that can be used to facilitate the growth of the program in other locations.
