The HBS Club of Houston is excited to continue hosting virtual programs featuring McKinsey. On August 24th from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm EDT, Sanjay Kalavar (MBA 2004), Senior Partner, will moderate a discussion with Clint Wood, Partner, and Gregory Santoni, Partner, on Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (“CCUS”). In the context of an increased focus on CCUS projects and investments by traditional energy companies, as well as the government dialogue on the subject, the conversation will focus on what is CCUS; who are the key players in the sector; how it may shape the environmental impact of oil and gas usage; and the key trends behind CCUS.

Gregory Santoni

Gregory Santoni is a Partner in the Houston Office of McKinsey & Company where he serves E&Ps, OFSEs, fuel retailers, chemical clients, and private equity investors on a range of strategy and energy transition topics. He is affiliated with the Global Energy & Materials (GEM) – including Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals – and Sustainability practices. He also leads work on decarbonization including Carbon Capture, Use, and Storage (CCUS) and Negative Emissions Technologies (NETs).

Clint Wood

Clint Wood is a Partner at McKinsey & Company based in the Houston office where he supports companies across the Energy and Industrials space including Oil & Gas, Electric Power, and Chemicals sectors. Clint co-leads our Global CCUS service line, works on decarbonization topics across hard-to-abate industries and sustainability more broadly. He is active in the Houston Energy and Innovation ecosystem. Clint has MBA and MA degrees from the University of Chicago and BBA and BA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. Before re-joining the Firm in 2010, Clint worked with Brazos Private Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm.

Sanjay Kalavar (MBA 2004) is a senior partner and the managing partner of McKinsey’s Houston office, where he focuses on working with energy companies and private equity firms.
