Chris Hyzy

Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer Bank of America Private Bank

Christopher M. Hyzy is Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer supporting Bank of America Private Bank and Merrill within Bank of America Corporation. In this role, Chris is responsible for determining the investment view for the wealth management businesses, developing and managing the asset allocation strategy, solutions due diligence, investment policies and guidance and, supporting the client-focused investment approach. Previously, he served as the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Investment Strategist for the Private Bank.

Prior to joining Bank of America, he was chief investment officer and head of product strategy for the Latin American Market region of The Citigroup Private Bank. He chaired the Global Investment Themes Committee and was a voting member of the Investment Strategy Committee for the Citigroup Private Bank, and active member of the Investment Policy Committee, the Product Strategy Committee, and senior leadership team. Preceding his role at Citigroup, he was the director of Merrill Lynch’s Investment Policy Group and head of the Investment Committee for International Private Clients. Chris also held investment positions including director of the Global Portfolio Strategy group for Private Wealth Advisory and senior international equity strategist for Merrill Lynch’s Private Client and Middle Markets Group.

Chris received his B.A. in business from Villanova University and earned an M.B.A. in finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Villanova University and previously served on the Provost Board and the Finance Department’s Advisory Council at Villanova, and the Finance and Investment Committee for the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.

Russ Koesterich, CFA, JD

Managing Director and Portfolio Manager BlackRock

Russ Koesterich, CFA, JD, Managing Director and portfolio manager, is a member of the Global Allocation team.

Mr. Koesterich’s service with the firm dates back to 2005, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. He joined the BlackRock Global Allocation team in 2016 as Head of Asset Allocation and was named a portfolio manager of the Fund in 2017. Previously, he was BlackRock’s Global Chief Investment Strategist and Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Model Portfolio Solutions business, and formerly served as the Global Head of Investment Strategy for scientific active equities and as senior portfolio manager in the U.S. Market Neutral Group. Prior to joining BGI, Mr. Koesterich was the Chief North American Strategist at State Street Bank and Trust. He began his investment career at Instinet Research Partners where he occupied several positions in research, including Director of Investment Strategy for both U.S. and European research, and Equity Analyst. Saira Malik

Chief Investment Officer & Head of Global Equities / Nuveen

Saira is Chief Investment Officer for Nuveen’s $400+ billion global equity business. As chair of the Equities Investment Council (EIC) and a member of the Global Investment Committee (GIC), Saira oversees the strategic direction of equity investing for all of Nuveen. She also has oversight responsibility for equity portfolio management, research, and trading across the firm’s actively managed, quantitative, index, and target-date strategies. In addition, Saira is the lead portfolio manager for the $120+ billion CREF Stock strategy and a listed portfolio manager for the $30+ billion CREF Growth and $20+ billion CREF Global Equities strategies. She also serves as the sole manager of a $5 billion global equity portfolio.

Since joining the firm in 2003, Saira has held a variety of positions. Prior to being named global equities CIO, she was head of global equities portfolio management, and before that, head of global equities research. Previously, Saira was with JP Morgan Asset Management, where her roles included vice president/small cap growth portfolio manager and equity research analyst.

Saira holds the CFA designation and graduated with a B.S. in economics from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and an M.S. in finance from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. A soughtafter source of market expertise and insight, she authors a weekly equity market commentary on behalf of Nuveen’s EIC and frequently appears on financial news networks such as CNBC, Bloomberg and Fox Business. Saira has been profiled in Kiplinger’s and Barron’s, which ranked her among the top 100 most influential women in U.S. finance.

Raj is Managing Director – Wealth Management and Head of The Sharma Group, a high end boutique within Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group and has over three decades of experience in customized investment and wealth management for entrepreneurs, corporate executives, families and institutions. Raj runs a national wealth management practice based in Boston.

Raj was recently recognized by Forbes and Barron’s Magazine as the number one advisor in Massachusetts and in the top 100 in the country. In addition, Raj has also been recognized by Barron’s Magazine as one of America “All Stars” Hall of Fame list– one of a small group of advisors who have appeared in Barron’s ranking of America’s Top 100 Advisors for ten consecutive years. He was also recognized by the Financial Times of London ranking of top Global Advisors as well as the top advisor ranking in Forbes Magazine for the past five years. He was featured on the inside cover of the September 2019 issue of Forbes Magazine. Raj is also a regular contributor to local and national media on investment strategy, private wealth management and financial planning.

Raj was profiled in a book on Boston, “An Extended Family”, by Boston Globe photojournalist Bill Brett. Raj is an active member of the community and is involved in many local and global organizations. He is a current trustee and former Chairman of The Boston Harbor Island Alliance. Raj is a member of the Board of Trustees for Emerson College and a trustee and board member of the American India Foundation (AIF), an organization devoted to disrupting poverty in India through a spectrum of programs. In addition, Raj is Chairman of the Board of Youth LEAD, an internationally recognized organization promoting cultural understanding and tolerance among high school students. Raj was the 2013 recipient of the “Solas Award” from the Irish International Immigrant Center for his commitment to promoting cross-cultural dialogue and for his inspirational example of achievement and civic engagement as an immigrant. In 2016, he was recognized as one of the hundred most influential people of diversity in Boston by Get Konnected, a networking organization.
