Tue, 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Zoom Webinar (Information to be sent to Registrants)
General PublicFinance

Description

Investors no longer have to choose between returns and impact. Since its inception, Impact Investing, i.e. pursuing market-rate returns alongside measurable impact, has been gaining interest and support slowly. As its infrastructure has grown, Impact Investing is now growing rapidly, fueled by governmental support (s.a.the recent passage of the “climate” bill) and by Millennials and GenZers increasingly taking the helm. More and more business leaders are onboard to solve some of the world’s most intractable problems with innovative, scalable, profitable and self-sustaining solutions. In this presentation, you will learn about implementation and success of one of the newest investment models in the Impact Investing space, called Mission-Related Investing.

Moderator, Austin Walters, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of SpringTide Ventures, will present the case for Mission-Related Investing (MRI). A VC fund with the mission of democratizing medical and health care, SpringTide has invested in over 25 companies since its inception in 2018. Following this, Lauren Sercu from Sorenson Impact Group will discuss the strategies, opportunities and real-world challenges of making successful impact investments.

Participants must register by Noon on December 12th to receive details on joining the discussion. The Zoom link will be sent out 24 hours before the event.

Please note that no refunds will be issued.
