HBS Alumni Entrepreneurs – Join an informal zoom session with the NY / Northeast U.S. Team Leads and Former NVC Regional Finalists to learn about the application process and how to get your best foot forward in 2023.

10 Reasons Why You Should Apply to the Alumni New Venture Competition

  • Validate your idea with fellow alumni
  • Receive valuable feedback on your business plan
  • Strengthen your network of angel investors, VCs and fellow entrepreneurs
  • Hear stories of other founders, including career changers and late-stage founders
  • Practice your pitch to investors
  • Whether you only have an idea or you have already launched your venture, startups of different stages are welcome to participate (see eligibility criteria here)

Ana Kertesz has 25 years of combined experience as an investor, executive, entrepreneur and board member with a successful track record in business launch & growth, funding, mergers & acquisitions, private equity & venture capital, partnerships, cross border transactions, content & community and building high performance teams, in her tenure at Goldman Sachs, biotechnology company Amyris, family office Peninsula, and her startup HOWto.LIVEit. A strong diversity and ESG advocate, Ana has close experience in a multitude of industries, including beauty, wellness, food, biotechnology, education, ed tech, media, retail and clean energy. Ana is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Ana lives in the greater NY area with her family.
