Volunteer: Help Classic Stage Company (CSC) bolster its Audience Strategy

Description

In the 55 years since its founding, CSC has become a leading Off-Broadway theater that is a home for new and established artists, and audiences seeking epic stories intimately told. CSC’s mission challenges the traditional perception of classic work – Shakespeare, Ibsen, Chekhov, etc. – by exploring and reimagining great stories across the world’s repertoire that illuminate our common humanity. As a home for the classics, CSC collaborates with artists to produce work that is inclusive, relevant and accessible.

 

Volunteers will identify untapped audiences by analyzing data, noting post-COVID trends, competitive frame of reference, and CSC’s differentiation through a SWOT, leading to expansion and retention strategies to drive ticket sales. Specifically:

  • How can CSC increase audience reach?
  • How can CSC engage and retain a more diverse audience?
The objective of the project is to strengthen CSC’s audience strategy:

  • Analyze audience data.
  • Define the competitive frame of reference.
  • Summarize CSC’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT).
