Description

Project Music Heals Us uses live music performances to provide encouragement, education, and healing to deeply marginalized communities. Their target audience consists of individuals who are sick, incarcerated, refugees, or homeless. Their venues include hospice centers, nursing homes, prisons, and homeless sanctuaries, among others. Some of their performances are done at bedside.
PMHS is a 501(c)(3) organization founded and lead by musicians.
Besides the solace of music, PMHU also provides encouragement to young musicians starting out in their career. Recently they have started a distance music learning program for refugees.

Last year PMHU received a large increase in donations. Because of this, it was able to substantially increase its programming. It wishes to continue this level of programming. To do so it must step up its fundraising abilities. The brainstorming session will provide guidance on ways to do this.

The objective of the project is to:

  • Evaluate current fundraising processes
  • Suggest avenues for new funds
  • Determine ways to institute and improve fundraising process
