This event will explore challenges faced by first-time funds in private equity and creative solutions they can take both from the deal executive and fundraiser’s perspective.
The COVID pandemic has impacted every industry including Private Equity. Preqin has reported there were 31% fewer final closes held by PE funds during the first half of 2020 compared to the same period last year. The pandemic has created acute challenges even more so for first time funds as 37% of LPs surveyed by PEI for the LP Perspectives Survey 2020 indicated they do not plan to back first-time funds. During these unprecedented times, out-of-the-box thinking is critical for first time funds looking to source deals and complete their final closes.
