The HBS Club of New York is happy to present an evening with Alan Patricof, a venture capital legend, in conversation about his memoir NO RED LIGHTS: Reflections on Life, 50 Years in Venture Capital, and Never Driving Alone
“No Red Lights” is a roadmap of the robust, fruitful personal life and career in VC, PE, politics, the arts, and more, by one of America’s very first venture pioneers.
From the early days of Wall Street to founding New York Magazine, to investing in AOL, Venmo, and more, No Red Lights: Reflections on Life, 50 Years in Venture Capital, and Never Driving Alone offers a behind-the-scenes look at the past fifty years of the industry. A social and political staple in New York City, Alan Patricof spent his entire career combining the love of arts, politics, theater and public service without sacrificing family and business success. And, throughout his incredible career, Patricof never let anything stand in his way – driving with no red lights.
This memoir is a window into Patricof’s multifaceted life that spans the growth of an entire industry – a guidebook for younger people looking to start their entrepreneurial journey and for older people looking to write a new chapter in their lives.
