What is blockchain? How does it relate to Bitcoin? Why is it transformative? We will examine blockchain’s effect on the architecture of the internet, financial systems, and the global economy, potentially similar to the way the internet transformed communication. Email may have been the first widespread adoption of the internet. But early internet protocols laid the groundwork for more imaginative applications like Uber, AirBnb, and Facebook. We will learn about applications being built on blockchain protocols, and how this goes way beyond crypto currencies. Whether you’re a blockchain convert and take it to be groundbreaking , or a skeptic and consider Bitcoin a farce, come join us at the Spur to talk revolutionary tech.
