Description

Did you know that Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Smirnoff, Crown Royal, Cîroc, Ketel One, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, J&B, Bulleit and Tanqueray and are all owned by one company?
Very few consumer brands survive beyond a decade or two and even fewer are truly global, yet Diageo has a portfolio that includes 200, 300 and (almost) 400 year old brands that are recognized in every corner of the globe. Their broad portfolio enables them to access a diverse consumer base, offering variation for any occasion, across a wide range of price points. Needless to say, it’s a complex, rapidly changing world in which the business and their brands are operating in. With 150 manufacturing sites, over 200 brands and operating in 180 markets, delivering sustained performance is quite some task! North America (the US & Canada) is Diageo’s most important market, contributing over a third of the businesses’ $16 billion in annual sales, half of its $5+ billion in profits with 2,600 of the company’s 30,000 person workforce. Deirdre Mahlan is responsible for Diageo’s crown jewel. She will present an overview of the company, its opportunities and challenges and share leadership lessons. Learn about fostering innovation at scale and sustaining a tradition of entrepreneurial spirit within a large and complex business. Come find out why Diageo is one of the world’s most admired and valued companies.
We look forward to a “spirited” discussion.
