5 HBS Alumni finalists will pitch their companies live in front of a panel of prominent judges, competing for $15,000 cash and in-kind prizes!
This annual event marks the finale of the 2025 regional competition. Winners will be announced at the end of the night.

- Krida – Shivangi Khanna (MBA 2024), Co-Founder/CEO – Built for Banks. Designed for Relationships.
- SkyfireAI – Don Mathis (MBA 1998), Co-Founder/CEO – Enabling the “Drones-For-Good” revolution. A next-gen swarming AI platform for drone systems, SkyfireAI operates at the intersection of drones and Artificial Intelligence. Our solutions solve complex problems for first responders, public safety, defense & critical infrastructure.
- Barnwell Bio – Casey McGinley (MBA 2021), Co-Founder/COO – Taking the guesswork out of animal health.
- Together Achieving Dreams (TAD) – Kathryn Webster (MBA 2023), Founder/President – 3 out of 4 blind Americans are job-ready, but unemployed. We’re on a mission to increase employment for the blind and low vision community by bridging the gap between potential and possibility.
- Pari Drinks – Alessia Vettese (MBA 2019), Founder/CEO – Pari is “a new fashioned beverage”. Our mission is to make the ritual and occasion of social drinking accessible to all. Consuming Pari is an investment in your well-being and promotes the idea that moderation can be the aspiration.
Teams will pitch to our esteemed panel of final-round judges and two winners will be selected to represent our region at the global finale. The winners of this competition will advance to the
global finale, hosted by HBS Rock Center for Entrepreneurship and HBS Social Enterprise Initiative.

Arrival Instructions:
The main entrance to the building is located at 335 Madison Avenue between 43rd and 44th Street. Once inside the main lobby (large couch area) head up the escalators on the right hand side and you will check in with a member of the event team who will grant you access to the elevator bank to the 7th floor.

Bios
Jenny Fielding
Co-Founder & Managing Partner, Everywhere Ventures
Jenny Fielding is one of the most active global pre-seed investors, having invested in 300+ companies as the first money in. As the cofounder and Managing Partner of Everywhere Ventures, Jenny has built a thriving community of 500+ founders and operators who help source, diligence, and invest in the next generation of startups across 3 core verticals: money, health, and work.
Prior to launching her own fund, Jenny spent 7.5 years as the Managing Director of Techstars where she invested in a portfolio of companies with a current market cap over $10B. Jenny is a 2x founder, a lawyer by training, and an adjunct professor at Columbia University, her alma mater, and Cornell Tech.
Melissa Fensterstock
Company Builder, Material Impact Fund
Melissa Fensterstock is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor focused on frontier technology in areas like next gen compute, space tech, and brain-machine interfaces. She brings a unique mix of scientific and business expertise, with a passion for developing and commercializing early-stage innovations.
Melissa has enjoyed an extensive career as an operator. As CEO of Landsdowne Labs, Melissa transformed an academic concept into a market-ready product, securing venture funding, an NSF grant, and a global corporate partnership, while also contributing to child-safety legislation. Her career spans leadership roles across biotech, consumer products, and therapeutics commercialization spin outs from institutions like Columbia and Johns Hopkins University.
She serves or has served as an Executive in Residence at Johns Hopkins, Columbia, and Yale University. She holds a BS from Johns Hopkins and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Eastin Rossell
Venture Director, HearstLab
Eastin Rossell is a Venture Director at HearstLab, where she leads investments in early-stage, high-growth startups. HearstLab is an early-stage investor focused on supporting women-led startups through capital, hands-on operational support, and access to Hearst’s global network. With over a decade of experience in venture investing and financial analysis, Eastin has evaluated thousands of companies, helping identify and support promising entrepreneurs.
Before joining HearstLab, she held investment roles at CoBe Capital and Delphin Investments, focusing on market analysis, sourcing, and due diligence. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Tulane University.
Alex Scherbakovsky
General Partner, AXA Venture Partners (AVP)
Alex joined AVP in 2016, focuses on growth stage investments in enterprise software, and is based in New York. He has been lead partner on AVP’s investestment in Contrast (enterprise software in cybersecurity), Gladly (AI-powered customer service), Lessonly (enterprise software in workplace training), and Strider (enterprise risk management and data security), among others.
Prior to AVP, Alex was a Principal at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), where his investments included Braintree (online and mobile payments) and Box (enterprise collaboration SaaS). Previously, Alex invested in enterprise software, fintech and Internet companies at Silver Lake, 3i and FTV Capital. Alex held also operating roles at Microsoft and Trilogy, and was a management consultant at Monitor Group. Alex holds an MS in Engineering and AB in Economics from Stanford, and received an MBA from Harvard.
Adam Smith
Head of Business and Corporate Development for CloudKitchens
Adam has 30 years of executive experience in technology, finance, and entrepreneurship, and is currently the Head of Business and Corporate Development for CloudKitchens. He built and launched his first company while in college (outsourced software testing), worked in management consulting for Integral, at Morgan Stanley in the technology corporate finance group, and as a portfolio manager at two hedge funds, at one point managing a $350m discretionary long short strategy (Galleon Group and Rose Lane Capital). In entrepreneurship, Adam has been the CEO of an education technology company called Exploros, the COO of APDS which sold education technology to the corrections market and was a founder and the head of business for Descartes Labs, where he secured $100m in contracts and helped grow the company to over 100 people before its sale in 2022. Adam attended Harvard College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.
