Description
CPR saves lives! Come learn the skills needed to take action in the event of a cardiac arrest emergency.
Early CPR and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) have been shown to dramatically increase the chance of survival in victims who experience sudden cardiac arrest. The first few minutes after a person goes into cardiac arrest are the most critical. Bystanders who witness or encounter a person in cardiac arrest are the ones who can maintain blood flow to the vital organs by performing chest compressions, improving a person’s chances of survival.
At this training you will:
- Learn skill demonstrations and practice hands-on CPR life saving techniques.
- Learn basic instruction on how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
- Gain information for identifying a person in need of CPR and other resources.
This is a non-certification class that combines audio/visual instruction with hands on participation. Learn how to take action in the event of a cardiac arrest emergency.
The CPR class will be followed by Control-The-Bleed training which focuses on recognizing the difference between non-life-threatening vs life-threatening bleeding. We will go over wound dressing, and the proper use of a tourniquet.
Pre-registration is required and will close at Noon on June 22nd
Please note that no refunds will be issued.
